VFW Quartermaster General Debra Anderson Meet & Greet

VFW Quartermaster Debra Anderson Meet & Greet. The VFW Quartermaster General Debra Anderson, will be visiting Connecticut this weekend. She will be visiting two VFW Posts in the state and Hannon Hatch Post 9929 is one of them. Debra is the first woman to be elected to this position in our 117 year history. Debra will arrive on Saturday at 130pm along with State Commander John Schmidt and other State Officers. We hope that many of our VFW Comrades and members of the VFW Auxiliary will Attend this special event to welcome Debra to Connecticut. There will be finger food available for the attendees.

  "That the purpose of this Corporation shall be fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational: to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead; and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America, and fidelity to its Constitution and laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies."

As a Charter Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, we, the officers and members of Gildo T. Consolini Post 3272, do fully support and subscribe to the Congressional Charter of the VFW stating the purposes of this organization as fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable and educational and are: 

1. to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members;

2. to assist worthy comrades;

3. to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead and  to assist their widows and     orphans;

Our nation’s soldiers are America’s true heroes.
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – June 14, 2016, marks the 241st year of service from the United States Army. The U.S. Army has evolved drastically since it was originally organized as the Continental Army in 1775; battlefields have transformed, weaponry has evolved, faces have come and gone, military uniforms have varied, but one thing holds fast: the bravery and the heart of the individuals who wear the uniform, and their commitment to their mission.
